Tattoos are a special way for people to express themselves. Some go for small, subtle designs, while others cover large parts of their bodies with intricate art. One such example is Tristan Weigelt, a 26-year-old tattoo apprentice, who gained attention for covering almost his entire body in tattoos.
Weigelt began his tattoo journey at the age of 20. Now, six years later, 95% of his body is covered in tattoos. He shared that it feels odd to think of himself without them, but they haven’t changed how he feels inside.
According to Weigelt, the tattoos on his face and head were the most painful. He compared the pain to being scraped with a metal brush, rating it an eight out of 10. These areas required six sessions of five to six hours each, making it a challenging experience.
While many people choose tattoos with deep personal meaning, Weigelt explained that his tattoos don’t hold any secret messages. Over the past five years, he has spent $50,000 on his body art, focusing on the aesthetics rather than symbolic meanings.
If you’re considering getting a tattoo, Weigelt advises choosing something that you genuinely love and has personal value. He added that many people worry about whether a tattoo will match their style or suit them, but he believes that if you truly like it, you should go for it.
Would You Get Inked?
Weigelt’s transformation is impressive, but it’s not for everyone. Tattoos are a personal choice, and his story might inspire those who are curious about taking this step. As for me, I’m not sure if I’d ever go as far as covering my entire body in tattoos!
